When Irish-born Lia Scallon (B.A.MOD DIP.ED) graduated from Trinity College Dublin, she became an actress and, in time, shared the stage and screen with the likes of Liam Neeson, Cate Blanchett, Glen Close and Frances McDormand. In more recent years, Lia’s creative talents have taken her on a very different journey! While seeking answers to some of her own health problems, a new path began to emerge in tandem with her acting career. Lia found herself led into the realm of Spirit. As she experienced and studied many and various healing modalities, her own unique gift of channeled song revealed itself. This newly discovered gift of song soon became her true passion and eventually, it became clear that The Sounds of Sirius were to be used not only for her own self-healing, but for the healing and comfort of others, too. Lia’s deep spiritual exploration continued over the years, leading to the Sounds of Sirius CD series, the first of which released in Australia in 2002. In 2009, Lia felt the time was right to begin introducing the seven Sounds of Sirius CDs to the United States. A special compilation album -- The Sounds of Sirius: Songs to Soothe the Soul – was created for the U.S. launch, containing complete excerpts from each of the seven CDs. These recordings are musical meditations that provide a healing balm for the soul. Like much classical and sacred music, Lia’s melodies induce an immediate sense of deep calm and peacefulness.
