They had been performing music together since 4th grade, and after many years of messing around, they decided that they should finally start an actual band. The group started out nameless and without a bassist or second guitarist. After realizing that they didn't know anyone that played bass, they urged one of their best friends, Brady Weiman, to learn and then join. Still in need of a second guitarist, they were soon joined by Nick Finocchiaro. Nick played with Letter 17 for a few months, but ultimately, he and the band decided to go their separate ways. Letter 17 was then joined by Dom DeRosa on January 17th, 2014. In 2015 Brady Weiman left the band and was replaced by new Bassist Jeffrey Crisanti. Soon after Dom DeRossa left the band also.
