Les Synthétiques is an electropop band formed in 2007 in Helsinki, Finland by Laura Aslo-Suominen (vocals), Miika Holopainen (vocals) and Marko Ukkola (machinery). Although being heavily influenced by 80’s electronic pop (with a dash of Angelo Badalamenti thrown in) they have managed to create their own unique sound. Their name was taken from Finnish Donald Duck comic book where in the 70’s you could marvel at the adventures of the rock band Synteettiset. The name was later translated into French since Les Synthétiques performed a cover of Poupée de cire, poupée de son (by France Gall) in their first ever gig. In November 2011 the band released the EP COO! and the single Christmas Creeping in December 2011.
