Lena Chappelle

Lena Chappelle is an author and composer, having been one of the two writers of the Guild Wars 2 soundtrack team engaged by software studio ArenaNet. Chappelle originally worked on the team as a member of the company's content design team, before transitioning onto composer. Chappelle holds a bachelor's degree in composing, and specialises in complex scripting conditions peppered with elaborate soundtracks as heard within the game. Prior to her career in Guild Wars, she has written music for several small PC games, podcast intros, and scores for modern dance. Chappelle joined the scoring team after Jeremy Soule's departure, originally composing short contributions to the series 'Living World' contributions. She was also the co-composer for Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns, alongside colleague Maclaine Diemer. Lena is openly transgender. Her originally contributions to the game's soundtrack can be found on her Soundcloud page, and in 2015 released the soundtrack of Heart of Thorns digitally on Amazon.com & iTunes.
