Leka Tchipa was formed in 1996 and only existed for a couple of months and didn't even play a single concert. It was side-project of the guys from Anomie, which by that time were close to break up. Gilles Auvinet on drums (and in Anomie on bass), Johnny Vellaine on guitar. Guillaume Brot did the vocals. They had recorded 11 songs and were going to release them on a split LP with The New Thing, but for various reasons it never came out. Luckily their records were found and digitized. Fast hardcore, all in the tradition of France, I didn't expect anything else. The songs are short, only one of the 11 is a little over two minutes long. I really liked the vocals as well as the quality of the recording, because they didn't record a demo or some rehearsal tape, but the songs for the split record. All the songs had no titles. I'll note the second and the sixth, although the material is so insanely similar to the whole France of those years that it's even boring. As I said, they broke up quickly. Gilles and Johnny played together in the band An-Attâ, later Gilles and Guillaume play in Cromwell O.
