Hair / Glam Metal (Heavy Metal) band from Cleveland, Ohio (USA). Legs Up formed in Cleveland, Ohio in March 1990, being one of the promising bands of Sunset Strip while they winning the coveted Bill Gazzari’s “star” award for being one of the top drawing bands in Los Angeles. they released a tape and lots of demo songs but unfortunately none of them released officially or gain a contract. This album doesn’t suck, its great and Childs has a killer set of lungs, spitting and screaming the lyrics with a force that is rarely seen in the genre. The big guitars and gang backing vocals complete the picture. The band disband in 1994 and renamed themselves Sledgehammer Ledge the same year. In 2016 Demon Doll records re-release a collection of these songs titled “Like a Bomb” officially licensed from lead vocalist Chris Childs. The boulevard was their home and they walked the streets with a chip on their shoulders and cold blood in their veins delivering a sonic assault not duplicated by many. Whether it was winning the coveted Bill Gazzari's "star" award for being one of the top drawing bands in Los Angeles or hitting the road to bring their ferocious attack to every state in the union, LEGS UP were armed and dangerous! Their take no prisoners’ mentality led to one infectious song after another.
