Born in the United States, Lee began playing the piano at the age of five, went on to major in piano performance at Berklee College, Boston, and continued studies with Josef Raiff at The Juilliard School, and with Grace Castagnetta, a pupil of the renowned concert pianist, Josef Hofmann. After nearly ten years in New York City, Lee decided to settle in Europe, where he has performed extensively as a soloist and in ensemble with some of today's finest jazz musicians.
