TUF is currently the largest organized crowd in the state of Ceará. The Torcida Uniformizada do Fortaleza or simply Leões of TUF, was founded on February 17, 1991 in Fortaleza, Brazil by a group of students from the Federal University of Ceará (UFC), who loved Fortaleza Esporte Clube. The official launch was on the tricolor radio program, "A Voz da Fiel", under the command of Emanuel Magalhães. The mascot chosen to represent the crowd was the Lion, for his Strength, Race, Determination and Power. Two years after the foundation, the number of members was 350. At that time, the headquarters was located in the City of Employees. Also in 1993, it was released the largest flag of the TUF, which measured about 85.00 x 32.00 meters. The following year, the first office was inaugurated in the Center of Fortaleza, located at Rua Senador Alencar, where meetings, gatherings, parties and travel preparation took place. In the following years, the arrival of new young people from several neighborhoods of Fortaleza gave impulse to the fans. After that the growth was explosive. In 1996, a new headquarters was set up at Rua Assunção, and then at Santos Dumont Avenue, in Aldeota. At the end of 1996, TUF had 560 members, but lost its seat. The fans still spent two years without a place to market their products, but with strength and slut managed to continue. Meetings and meetings were held in stadiums, friends' houses and steakhouses.
