Lavaud, pronounced “La-Vo”, is a singer-songwriter born and raised in Hackney, London with family origins from the island of Mauritius, a proud nation in the Indian Ocean off the southeast coast of the African continent. “I grew up surrounded by all kinds of music. My father is my greatest influence and inspiration. He is an amazing person, musician and teacher.
