Laura-Beth Salter (born in Lincolnshire) is a British folk singer and mandolinist based in Glasgow. As well as her solo work, Salter is a founding member of folk bands The Shee and Kinnaris Quintet, duo From The Ground, and has recorded as Jenn & Laura-Beth. She was nominated for the MG Alba Composer of the year award in 2013 after the success of her debut album (and Celtic Connections commission) ‘Breathe.’ She has also played with The Islay Sessioners and Top Floor Taivers.
