Once in a while, a new artist breaks onto the scene, crashes through the existing boundaries and firmly establishes roots in exciting new territory. Laura Warwick is one of those artists. With a voice that'll blow you away (really!), soulful songwriting and a fun, feisty personality, you've never come across anyone quite like her before, and you never will again. Starting out in a sleepy village in Kent, Laura began a project that would shape the beginnings of her music career: The Public Record Label. A simple but innovative concept, she sold shares in the recording and release of her debut album for £5 each. It proved a great success, as press and public alike fell over themselves to be a part of it. "That's just the kind of person I am," says Laura, "Always thinking of new ideas...something a bit different..." The project proved a great support for Laura, and not simply on a financial level. "It was great to know I had this solid foundation of fans who not only followed and supported what I did, but had backed me, actually stepped up and put that faith in me.
