Laura Stoica was a famous Romanian singer (born on October 10th 1967, died on March 9th, 2006); passionate about music, in 1986 she graduated from classic canto courses (prof. Emil Niculescu) at “Popular Arts School” in Targoviste, participating afterwards to all major new-talents contest held in Romania. She made the next step in her artistic career in 1989 when she became a singer for the “Toma Caragiu” Theatre in Ploiesti, for an year. Even if music had always been the most important to her, Laura was also attracted by theatre therefore graduating in 2000 from the “Theatrical Faculty”, Arts Section (part of the Ecological University of Bucharest), being licensed in Arts-Acting. In 1990, at the “Mamaia” festival, Laura Stoica launched herself in the music world, followed the next year by her being declared the best pop-rock singer, and the song “Un Actor Grabit” (by Bogdan Cristinoiu) the song of the year. Between 1987 and 1991 Laura Stoica took part in numerous music contests and, with an impressive tenacity, managing to make good impressions to the juries as well as to the pop music lovers. Laura Stoica becomes a well-known star, an original singer, with a great solid voice, a skillful interpretation and a modern stage play. The first album, entitled “Focul” (The Fire) appeared on the market in 1994. Since then, Laura’s songs have been included on many compilations, and in 1997 the second album was released, “Nici o stea”. Laura Stoica had believed for many years t
