Laufeyiar Sonr is a project that has several cd-r releases out already, as well as contributions to various compilations such as Tuchtunie, Neoform or Dutchgothic. Earlier it already was noticeable that ice cold industrial compositions and warm neoclassical melodies are processed ingeniously. Label: Neuropa Records Genre: dark ambient, electronica (idm / electronica / technoid / breakbeat ) Website: http://tuchtunie.nl/laufeyiar-sonr On their sound, and on the debut: On Vorst many of these tracks return, together with new tracks and it all falls into it’s right place with this strong debut release on the Belgian Neuropa Records. The most striking of the music of Laufeyiar Sonr is that the minimal forceful electronic sounds and rhythms combine well with the melodic side of their music in which neoclassical and medieval atmospheres are never far away. The powernoise track ‘Second Fire’ doesn’t really appeal to me personally. I
