Last Rizla is a rock band from Greece. As of 2010, the band is an instrumental trio, now incorporating elements of sludge and doom to their psychedelic post-metal sound. The band cites Sleep, The Melvins, Dub Trio, Earth, Neurosis, AmenRa as influences. The band got together around 2006 in Syros Island, Greece but, after minor line-up changes, took its current form in 2009. Originally a vocals-guitar-bass-drums quartet, Last Rizla released their first album in October 2009 (Last Rizla). The album, both a physical and digital release, was given around for free. Its sound is a mixture of stoner and psychedelic rock, hardcore punk, post-metal and even dub alongside half spoken-half sung lyrics with a political edge.
