There is more than one band with the name Last Picture Show, however one band has recently been adding (UK) after their name to distinguish themselves from the rest. Last Picture Show (UK)'s music consists of a mix of haunting piano played by Matt Robinson (also does vocals) and acoustic guitar with the nimble playing of John Mullaney. A British rock band they are both down to earth gentlemen that have a sound all their own. Their first album, Undertow made its debut in America during their visit to Atlanta, GA where they appeared at Dragon*Con in 2005. They returned to Dragon*Con 06 where their new album, Against The Current made its debut. Matt and John are not only a duo with music but each has a separate talent they flow with as well. Matt is also an actor, who has been seen in theatre as well as on New Zealand’s hit cult television show The Tribe which aired for five seasons. Matt’s character Slade was the anti-hero that caught the attention of many with his mysterious attitude, his ways with women, and the constant wonder about what his real motives were. John, on the other hand is an artist, his work has spanned different genres from architectural design to Star Wars. In 2008 the band gained their third member Gaz who plays drums.
