Last Night (Thunder Bay, Canada) — 2005-... Last Night are a 5 piece rock/pop band who hail from Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada and is on this rise! Growing up listening to the likes of Dispatch, Jack Johnson, Pennywise, Sublime, The Beatles, and Led Zeppelin, the band's style and genre of music can be classified differently from song to song. They combine an acoustic sound with rock, alternative, and ska vibes, while utilizing multiple vocal harmonies to create a very broad range in sound. The band began in November, 2005, originally just jamming before bursting on to the scene in Thunder Bay. Trevor Potts (vocals/acoustic guitar), Matt Lawrie (acoustic guitar/vocals), and Chris MacLeod (guitar) are the founding members of the band that played small acoustic sets at various venues around their home town. Derek Desa (percussion) originally was asked to sit in for the band to add another dimension to the thick guitar sounds and is now a full time member. The band was excited that good friend and former band mate of Matt, Brent Jones (bass/vocals), was available to join as a bassist in March of 2006 and hasn’t looked back since.
