Brian Pennington and Nick Meiers formed a one-off band in 2010. For the drummer, they hired Jeremy Ward, drummer of the Minneapolis band STNNNG. Although the band was a one-time thing, Pennington and Meier kept in touch. After a couple years, Brian Pennington placed in ad on the internet for people to fill in his band. Meiers accepted the role of vocalist and bassist while Peninngton played synth guitar. In need of a drummer, Meiers suggested the group contact his long-time friend and common bandmate, Jim Duffy. After much rehearsing, the band decided to get producer John San Paulo to record their songs. In March 2014, the band's songs were recorded, and San Paulo was hired again in December to mix and producer more of their songs. In May 2015, the songs were released on their only release so far, GUNMETAL EYES. On July 24, 2015, the group performed at Chicago's PRF BBQ.
