Lara Scandar is an Egyptian artist; she recently released her album and single titled Mission Is You. She participated in the reality tv show Star Academy 6 (Middle Eastern version) 2009. Although she didn't win, she had a great talent, being able to dance and sing at the same time. She learned Ballet dancing and HipHop dancing since her childhood.. She was one of the acts that performed songs in foreign language (the show is mainly in arabic, but they let in some acts that sing english or french.. and she can sing english, french, and italian) Lara Scandar was born on the 18th of December, 1990 in Santa Monica, California. Her and her family then moved to Cairo, Egypt where Lara grew up. She took up ballet classes for 9 years and has been involved in other forms of dance as well. She has also been modeling and has been in several commercials since the age of 2. In the summer of 2007, Lara was the face of Egyptian fashion house Mobaco. She has also been on the cover of Teen Cleo & Layalina and has been featured in several issues of other lifestyle magazines such as CLEO and Enigma. In June of 2008, Lara auditioned for the Lebanese reality TV/Talent show Star Academy that started on the 21st of February 2009, she competed against thousands of other contestants but eventually earned a place in the Academy.
