A real Laptop Orchestra! the Berlin based orchestra with 6 to 9 Musicians. They are the first Laptoporchester (founded in 2003) who claims to performing contemporary, minimal, electronic laptop music between Club Culture and Contemporary Music. In early 2008 they changed the name into: ENDLICHE AUTOMATEN / LAPTOPORCHESTER - . The aim is to interpret and deconstruct electro-acoustic pieces of contemporary audio art. The musicians form an ensemble of notebooks, each functioning like an instrument. The combination of this multi-coherent network of sounds, the latest software, and versatile audio systems continually opens up new possibilities for interpretation. The fundamental idea behind Laptoporchester Berlin is to create and maintain an extensive repertoire of electro-acoustic and audio-visual compositions - which can be presented live in changing constellations, just what a traditional ensemble does. In the transition to visual art, self-images form an integral element of Laptop's stage performances. Hence the Laptoporchester Berlin is permanently experimenting with different configurations of sound and vision.The live performances are supported by various visual artists who developing special Light and Video Concepts for each Performance.
