Lana Gordon came to New York City and studied dance at the Alvin Ailey School with a scholarship. Later, she was asked to join the repertory ensemble directed by Sylvia Walters. Lana was with the company for 3 1/2 years, before she joined the ensemble of Donald Bird The/Group. In the summer of 1994 she was working as a soloist for 3 month in japan. In the same year, she played Dionne on the european tour of the Musical Hair, directed by James Rado. She debuted on broadway in the original cast of the hitmusical The Lion King, where she was in the ensemble and the cover for shenzi and nala. After 2 1/2 years she left the lion king and joined the cast of Broadway Musical Jesus Christ Superstar as soulsister. Not longer than 6 month after she left the lion king, she was asked by Disney to come back and play the role of shenzi. Lana was playing this role for more than 2 years. 2003 she took the role of anita in West Side Story and was touring of and on for 5 years. Highlights were stops in London (Sedlers Wells), Paris (Le chatelet), Singapore (Esplanade), Vienna, Munich, Zurich, Dresden, Berlin, Athens, Bejing, Taipei and many more. She recently started her solo career in europe, where she performed in rome, dubai, doha, vienna, lithuania, london etc.. During all that time she was working successfully as model for the US advertising, print and TV.
