Lake Folk formed in 2009 and began crafting a new form of indie folk that makes up their debut release 'Feel Like I’m Home.' With their "charmingly sincere brand of acoustic wonder," Lake Folk blends roots music with other genres to create richly textured songs that range from the soulful and uplifting, to darker offerings that reach for new ground in roots noir. The quintet is made up of Eric Anderson (banjo, mandolin, vocals), Danielle Gartner (cello, mandolin, vocals), Bryan Mayer (guitars), John Nipper (Percussion), and Erin Shellman (upright bass, vocals). With the recent release of ‘Feel Like I’m Home,’ Lake Folk is an up and coming addition to the Michigan roots music scene.
