Lainey Lou (born in San Jose, California but now residing in Sunnyside, Washington, United States) is a singer-songwriter who also perform all instruments herself. Although her music is indie based, the arrangements include soft electronica, jazz and pop. Lainey began singing when she was 6 and within a year began performing for local talent shows, events and school performances. Her parents gave her the courage to continue performing and Lainey started to take piano lessons in her fourth grade year. During the summer before entering High School, Lainey Lou attended a band camp where young musicians were paired into bands. After that summer, Lainey began to write her own songs. When her freshman year begun she performed her own compilation "Enderly" at the schools talent show.
