Artist
This group started in 1986 with Luis Alberto Partida, Gustavo Hernandez and J. Antonio Rotunno using no-conventional instruments as toy drums, bottles, metal sheets, an electric guitar. After some time they began to get more conventional instruments like synthesizer, bass guitar, drums, etc. The band has influences from Dada artistic movement, so they labeled their music as no-style, trying to avoid limits in creation, but some references can be industrial, punk, experimental, pop, techno, thrash, improvisations, etc. In 1988 there was a new member, Hugo Edmundo Cedillo. In 1990 they released their first tape and at the end of that same year Manuel A. Partida came into the band. Some videos have been released in TVUAT. At the end of 1995 Hugo left the band, so they are now a quartet. La Función de Repulsa are not rock stars and maybe they are not musicians either.
