La Rata Blusera, also typed as La Rata Bluesera, is a blues band from Valdivia, Chile. The band has been active since the year 2000 and is regarded as one of the most well-known bands in their country's blues scene. The band has underwent many line-up changes and has achieved important milestones. In 2003, Don Vilanova Botafogo chose them as his live band for his concert in Santiago, Chile, thus making them his official live band in Chile. They opened up for Eric Clapton's concert in Chile in 2011 and toured Mexico in 2014, gaining international fame. They have released six albums so far and have worked with many well-known Chilean blues musicians, such as Federico Dannemann and Gonzalo Araya. Likewise, the band released an album adapting hits from the legendary Valdivian duo Schwenke y Nilo to blues and soul.
