La Niña, born Carola Moccia on July 10, 1991, in Naples, Italy, is an Italian singer-songwriter and actress. Raised in San Giorgio a Cremano, she developed a passion for music early on, influenced by her musician father and artist mother. She began studying guitar at a young age, which led her to compose her first songs. After completing her classical studies, La Niña graduated with honors in Philosophy and History from the University of Naples Federico II. During this period, she collaborated with various artists, including Jovine of 99 Posse and Roberto Angelini, leading to multiple performances on the television program "Gazebo." Post-graduation, she moved to Milan to fully dedicate herself to music and earned a master's degree in musical communication from the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore. In 2014, she joined the band Fitness Forever as a guitarist and vocalist, where she met producer and musician Alfredo Maddaluno, known as KWSK NINJA. Together, they formed the electro-pop duo Yombe in 2015, briefly relocating to London before settling between Milan and Naples. In 2019, after concluding the Yombe project, La Niña returned to Naples with Maddaluno. Reconnecting with her cultural roots, she began writing songs in Neapolitan dialect, exploring new sounds. This led to her solo project under the moniker La Niña, debuting with the single "Croce" in June 2019, followed by "Niente cchiù" and "Salomè" the same year.
