Línt is a Norwegian sextet playing experimental noise-rock. Dynamic contrasts characterize the songs, which contain both symphonic and noisy elements, all wrapped up in dreamy and hypnotic compositions that builds up to powerful soundscapes. Since the band started in 2012, Línt has been exploring and stretching the post-rock genre, both on stage and on record. With their debut album, released April 17, they invite new sounds into their musical landscape. On "Then They Came For Us" the sextet refines their dynamic contrasts, their symphonic and noisy elements, and the grand compositions we know from earlier works. At the same time they have brought in new impulses and element from other electronic music and trip-hop. The sextet has always been constantly evolving musically, a mark in the change of sound came when drummer Rasmus Arnesen got injured 1.5 years back and Jard Hole took over as the bands drummer. Arnesen instead started experimenting with electronics and programming of beats, synths and loops. Lint has impressed audiences with their visual stage shows on festivals like by: Larm and the Hove Festival, concerts in Olavshallen in Trondheim- and in the cinema, when they last year performed one hour long comission for Bergen Filmklubb, to the silent film "Berlin big city symphony" (Walter Ruttmann, 1927).
