Léo Brum is a singer/songwriter inspired by the charms and struggles of the urban landscapes. His music is intimately connected to his experience in humble neighborhoods of Rio de Janeiro, blending strong lyricism with everyday language and touching topics such as work, money, faith, culture, family and anything that shapes the lives, feelings, and dreams of the working class. Most of his lyrics were written while commuting on public transportation, weaving an unlikely creative environment that influences his style since then. Listeners are treated to a variety of cultural and geographical references, much like a crowded bus traversing the metropolis. His musicality, even more daring, takes root in Rio de Janeiro's samba and branches out into genres such as bolero, jazz, funk carioca, brega , tango, and even Indian music. However, his crooner-like voice, varying in dynamics and emotions, ensures a consistent identity throughout any style. From his teenage rock bands to his first solo show in 2017, street jam sessions in bohemian nights, poetry slams, carnival blocos, and more recently, quarantine livestreams and theater musicals, Léo Brum remains attentive and versatile.
