Artist
Kyle Lau Culkin was born August 16th, 1983 in West Hills, California. Raised in a large family, he was introduced to music at an early age by his parents and began listening to everything from jazz and pop, to blues and classic rock. Always having an appreciation for music, he began playing the violin in middle school and played in many classical concerts all the way through high school. After graduation, his father gave him Eric Clapton's "Unplugged" album and decided to trade in his violin for a guitar. Kyle then immersed himself in many musical genres but was attracted to rock and blues. He was fascinated by the music and those who played. He studied artists such as BB King, Muddy Waters, Jimi Hendrix, and Stevie Ray Vaughan, Helping him develop his own unique style. Kyle began playing clubs all over California, quickly drawing crowds and developed a reputation as an up and coming guitar player with a passion and intensity that is unparalleled. "We are missing something in the music industry today," Kyle explains. "I want to bring back a true type of music that really speaks to people." Every time he plays, this California kid gives it everything he's got with a display of power and technical flash that many say rival the greats. With rock in his heart and blues in his soul, Kyle Culkin continues to amaze audiences wherever he plays.
