Kurwen was born many years ago in 1999 as a side project by three young musicians from various underground bands in Tenerife. Unfortunately, because of lack of time, Kurwen died, but before they split up, managed to record a demo that still remains hidden in some lost cassette tape out there. Years later, one of those first three members decided to resurrect the band and start writing some new songs. This is how Kurwen was reborn from its ashes. Kurwen nace hace muchos años como proyecto paralelo de tres jóvenes músicos de distintas bandas del underground tinerfeño allá por 1999. Desgraciadamente por la falta de tiempo, Kurwen muere aunque consiguió grabar un tema que aun permanece como un espectro en alguna cinta de casete perdida. Años mas tarde uno de aquellos 3 primeros componentes decidió retomar la idea y empezar a componer algunas canciones. Así es como renace Kurwen de sus cenizas.
