Kurotokage is predominantly influenced by Japanese and South-Korean cinema, Buddhist folklore and some obscure sides of asian pop-culture. On the musical plan Kurotokage is a multi-faced project, always “ambient”, but varying from pure soundscape to downtempo or electronica territories but some could simply describe it as techno-ambient. However, a constant of the project is to mix analog & analog modeling sounds with ultra-processed asian traditional instruments.
