Artist
Kubalove is a solo artist and songwriter whose sound combines the best of electro, shoegaze and synthpop. She creates songs that are grandiose, dark and dreamlike – often feisty and yearning, underpinned by a flirty, insistent beat. Her music is currently featured on the entertainment show The Fox Problem, hosted by Radio 1 DJ Gemma Cairney and Brits 2014 presenter Georgia La, as well as an advertising campaign for international tech brand HP. Based in the UK, Kubalove is currently completing her debut solo EP. Her first single 'Dangerous' was released on 7th February 2014, and the accompanying video features performance clips from the avant-garde dance company Chunky Moves. Her next single 'All I Want' was released on 21st February 2014. The accompanying video was directed by LA director Susie Francis, who has previously worked with the likes of Bob Dylan, Olly Murs, Cut Copy and Tame Impala . The video stars fasion model Kasimira Miller and the hollywood actor Tarquin P. Wilding – Elizabeth Taylor's grandson. Previously Kubalove has performed vocals and bass in numerous groups with styles ranging from post-rock to indie-synth, playing venues and festivals across the UK supporting acts such as Plump DJs, The Futureheads, The Correspondents and Dreadzone. She has also been a music promoter, having personally established and run an acoustic music night in London for several years.
