Artist
Kristofer Hayes, aka RedBeard, aka Homerun Hayes, was born into an affluent white-South African family in 1979. Growing up amidst the whirlwinds of racial tension during the eighties and early nineties greatly influenced his music, the effects of which can be heard in tracks such as "Goth/New Wave, Help Me Tie That Darkie To The Back Bumper Of My Pontiac" and "Reggae, Yet Another Tool To Keep The Peasants Occupied While We Destroy Their Culture And Pilliage Their Lands." Tragically, with the fall of Apartheid in 1994, Hayes overdosed on Quaaludes; taking with him what could have been the most brilliant mind of his generation. His ghost has been known to haunt SUNY Purchase and can sometimes be heard wailing Ryan Adams and Jesse Malin, or even Wilco when it's had a few Pabst pounders.
