about

KOTEBEL aims to approach progressive music from the perspective of classical or "academic" music, mainly through the rigorous development of thematic material and the use of resources (e.g. harmonic) from periods like impressionism. "Structures", KOTEBEL's first album, includes 7 independent pieces that explore different styles within the progressive rock genre. The album is based on extensive use of keyboards, with all melodic materials presented by keyboards and flute. Reviews of this album place its style along the lines of artists like PFM, TONY BANKS, early GENESIS or THE ENID. KOTEBEL's second project is a concept album titled "Mysticae Visiones". It closely follows KOTEBEL's aesthetic postulates and as such, can be placed closer in style to groups like AFTER CRYING and TOWNSCREAM. -- www.progarchives.com User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
