Kontoret is an electronic duo from Sundsvall, Sweden. It consists of Hamlet Nilsson and Viktor Thunström, although the band started out as a one man project by Viktor - he composed Echoes From the Coalmines just before Hamlet joined in August 2008. Their music in inspired by the British groups The Future Sound of London and Boards of Canada, which can be heard on their music. Backmasking and hidden messages appear quite often in their songs.
