Kong Lavring was a Norwegian folk-rock group from Asker and Oslo formed in 1974 by Per Ladegård and Jørn Erik Jensen after Folque disbanded. The band's repertoire was Norwegian folk songs and folk tunes arranged for electric instruments, together with use of traditional instruments such as dulcimer , krumhorn and torader. The line-up on the first album was Liv Nelle Solberg (vocals, melodica ), Jørn Jensen (vocals, guitar, dulcimer, mandolin , horn), Per Ladegård (guitar, mandolin, dulcimer), Geir Holmsen (bass) and Arne Hågensen ( drums). The producer was Ingar Helgesen. When Geir Holmsen left to play with Chipahua and Jon Eberson, he was replaced by Knut Ellevold. In addition, fiddler Trond Villa also joined for a short period. He was a friend of Jørn Jensen from Folque, but both went to Sweden and joined the quartet Rackare. On the second album, Den 2den, the band comprised Marit Jordbræk (vocals), Petter Lindstad (drums), Knut Ellevold (vocals, bass), Per Ladegård (vocals, guitar, mandolin, dulcimer), Lars Just Nilsen (recorders) and Tone Halling (singing, electric piano, electric spinet). Others who took part in the recording of Den 2den are; Ann Modin (horn), Werner Johannessen (bassoon), Kirsti Corneliussen ( langeleik ), Svein Helge Birkeflet (piano) and Trond Villa (fiddle).
