about

Kogz is a local up-and-coming emcee hailing from the “A-line” (Armadale Train Line for the uninitiated) of Perth, with a fierce delivery and a commitment to his craft. After entering a competition for ‘up and coming’ rappers organised by SBX member Mr. Grevis, Kogz won a weeks worth of studio time with Rob Shaker. The opportunity allowed Kogz to adapt his idea for a project from mixtape to full LP. Supporting Grevis a couple of times, the young emcee caught the attention of a few local stalwarts of the Perth scene. Born as Drew marciniak, Kogz aka Kogz1, released his debut album 'Piece of Mind' on iTunes in May of 2014, featuring some prominent tracks such as 'Most Chicks', 'Keeping Me Down' featuring verses from fellow emcees Complete and Bitter Belief, and 'Had Enough' featuring Sever and Rob Shaker, being the leading track of the album to draw attention to Kogz. Some other earlier released tracks accountable for the growth of Kogz' fanbase, are his 'Drown in Spit' series, parts one, and two.
