Pulsating rhythm and melodies under the influence of extravagant decadence, that's Kofe-in. The band was founded in early 2006 (in Opava, Czech Republic) comprising musicians with rich music experience ranging from funk and electronic music through alternative rock to jazz. It all started with a clear idea of a fusion music band freely combining various music genres. Thus, charismatic singer Jan Kunze, experimenter in electronic music and stringed instrument player Petr Kunze, multi-genre guitarist Jan Kyjovský, and expressive saxophone and flute player Jan Tengler appeared on the scene together. The dynamics of the band was soon enhanced after the drummer Zbyněk Raab and the guitarist Vladimír Jaške joined in. The band was named after caffeine, a substance that has effects similar to the effects of the band’s compositions. Since the very beginning Kofe-in has been proving to be a strong live band, fascinating and exciting the audience by its energy and expression. Kofe-in blends electronic, rock, funk and jazz music. The band has found its distinctive expression due to unconventional composing approaches.
