KOCHENMITGLAS was a Hardcore-Noise Rock quartet from Hamburg, Germany and played a lot of live shows in Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Norway, Sweden and Finland. Without explicitly promoting it, the band was often read as a part of the Riot Grrrl movement. One highlight was the decorating award as 'most promising new foreign hardcore act 2002' by a magazine poll out of Finland. Called TO COOK WITH GLASS in german, this evil-minded quartet from hamburg beyond any easy sub-genreneering shook the political non-profit-diy-underground between 1999 and 2003, full of mean driving and deep emo-metal-noise-core, with screamo-growly-multivocalterror of everyone involved and added progressive song structures, weird harmonics and obscure but brutal rhythms. Formally, the band amalgamated Noise Rock-, Emo Violence- and No Wave-elements in favor of a massive and individual Post-Hardcore Fusion. The band often enrichened their numberous shows with musique concrète-like background playbacks of self cut'n'pasted, looped and electronically edited fieldrecordings of diverse noises of civilisation and other samples. The S/T 7" was recorded in early 2002 by Manuel Wirtz and released on his Eniac-Label 'Better Home Plastic Cooperation'.
