Sad folk for sad folks. Originating off a love of folk punk music, emulating bands like AJJ, Mischief Brew, Pat the Bunny and mixing it with a life long love of pop punk and orgcore worship Knifethroat was born from bedroom demos. Time passed, the world changed and so did the project. An ever evolving line up of musicians centered around vocalist and guitarist El's songwriting. Knifethroat released their first full length record in 2025 called "Sad Blue Planet". A mixture of the earnest lyrics present since the beginning of the project to evolved guitar playing, a mixture of sax and keys. "Sad Blue Planet" is a conglomeration of Folk, emo, and punk that has listeners tackling the daily grind of surviving in a capitalist American society.
