Annegret Klenke (1st violin), Beate Hartmann (2nd violin), Yvonne Uhlemann (viola) and Ruth Kaltenhäuser (violoncello) have established themselves internationally as one of the important German string quartets and are "one of the most evaluated European formations" (Gewandhaus- Magazine). Profoundness, vocality and intimate music making paired with a strong program dramaturgy and a sound intensity to the quietest tones, the Klenke Quartet distinguish. Numerous CD recordings document the extensive work of the Klenke Quartett and were awarded prices such as the Choc du Mois, the Midem Classical Award and repeated with the Supersonic Award. In addition to their impressive live recording of the instrumental passion history "The Last Word of our Redeemer on the cross" by Joseph Haydn (Berlin Classics, 2008), the recording of the Tschaikowsky String Quartet (2010) and a Schubert Quartet recording (2015). Furthermore the ensemble is intensively dedicated to Mozart's works. The recording (Hänssler ) of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's ten famous string quartets was published from 2004 to 2010.
