Klaudia Delmer was born in Barsoby, she grew up and started her musical studies in Spain, she finished her university studies in U.S.A. and has been living in Greece for the last years. Before her studies of classic music, she showed intense interest for the traditional music and the poetry of the Mediterranean Countries. She also occupied, initially/at first with dance, classic and flamenco. From New York’s Mannes College of Music, she got the Bachelor of Music (B.M.) with speciality in the opera and the lied. She continued her studies with very important persons in the sector of classic song such as Franco Corelli, Herman Prey and Victoria De Los Angeles. She feels though that the meeting with the Greek Soprano Maria Koromantzou, was the key for the phonetic technique she was looking for. As a lyric female singer, she gave a lot of promises from the very first moment and she won the song competition of Rosa Ponselle and the contest Koussevitsky, in Lincoln Center of New York. She also did concerts – with several groups- and recitals in America, Spain, Greece, Germany, France, Italy, Poland and Sweden. When she came to Greece she cooperated with the Symphonic Orchestra and with the Orchestra of Contemporary Music of ERT as well, with the Organization of the Palace of Athens, with the Group of Contemporary Music of the Greek Composer’s Union, with the Miki’s Theodorakis Folk Orchestra and many others.
