Pha-Q Phonographs cofounders Vyle Kyle and Skotty Failure came together in Fort Worth, TX. Kyle was born there, whereas Skotty was from Montana. Unsuccessful at getting their planned underground movies off the ground, they eventually just decided to do a deliberately shitty grindcore parody. This was the first official Pha-Q band, and started unaware of shitcore and mediacore as subgenres, which they realized they were doing. Also, unintentionally, other influences crept into their sound, including various mutant strains of damaged punk aside from their initial grindcore influences. With Kyle taking on the name of Kyle Shit Pile (and a mentally retarded, filthy persona) and Skotty taking the name Gay Ray (a John Waters-influenced trailer trash//homosexual persona that is equally nasty), Kitten Felcher set out to record their still yet-to-be-completed debut album "A Baker's Dozen Of Ass Muffins". Two more fun facts: Both members' stage names are insults that were used against them in elementary school, and Skotty's son, Vince, is an honorary member under the name Hymen Wrekker. Specific influences include Anal Cunt, Excrementory Grindfuckers, Agoraphobic Nosebleed, GG Allin, GWAR, Crotchduster, The Left Rights, Gay For Johnny Depp, Meat Shits, John Waters, and Killdozer.
