King Louis’ Collective are a seven man, one woman groove machine hailing from Cardiff. The band met and formed at Cardiff University in early 2009 with the intent of writing a soulful blend of complex yet catchy melodies, matched by a thunderously rhythmic foundation. With influences from ska, soul, funk and everything in-between they quickly found themselves playing a number of increasingly high profile shows. From their first gig headlining in Cardiff’s renowned Buffalo bar to supporting Killa Kela the band have always impressed with their complex intricate sound and abundance of energy. Going from strength to strength playing a number of shows for Cardiff University Student Union and at the notorious Dublin Castle in Camden. The band played their biggest show to date as a support at the Cardiff University Summer Ball playing with artist such as Feeder, Calvin Harris and Beardyman.
