about

Who says Hip Hop isn’t for girls? “Kinetic Fallacy serve up a mix of twisted beats, dark samples, virtuoso instrumentation and stunning visuals - where sound is consumed as much in sight as hearing. Their material lengthens shadows, make the inanimate animated and your subconscious squirm” (Gigwise.com) November 2006 sees Kinetic Fallacy independently launch their debut CD/DVD album ‘Audiovision’ with a kick-start tour that will see the beginning for a new age of live music and visual performance. Hannah Peel and Emma Welsby perform live using laptop, turntable, trombone, violin, keys, vibraphone and percussion. Each track takes the listener into the dark murky depths of beats and bass, twisted with a feminine touch. Labelled as ‘Alternative Hip Hop’, the music is a totally unique blend of classical instrumentation, mixed with styles of jazz, alternative hip-hop and electronic beats. This is not only an auditory experience. The composers collaborate alongside filmmakers; VJ’s and animators to create pieces that are performed live in sync with each other. Using cuts from both 1950’s and new produced animation films they are more than a band with wallpaper. The mesmerising visuals display their own narratives alongside the powerful music, which produces a truly unmissable experience.
