Artist
Band from Split, Croatia (Yugoslavia at the time) was formed by two brothers, Dino Dvornik and Dean Dvornik in 1980. The band was named after the buildings where the brothers lived in Split, which translates to 'Chinese Wall' in English. They found their musical influence in late 70s/early 80s funk music, as well as in disco and electro. Dino was the singer, and Dean was the songwriter, while they both arranged the music. In 1983 they released their only LP, a self-titled record for Suzy Records. It did not have any notable success at the time, but it was one of the first funk records to be released in Yugoslavia. The band split after the record and the brothers pursued their solo careers. Dino Dvornik continued to develop the band's sound and became a true legend of Croatian music in general.
