Kim Logan is an American indie rock artist from Florida. Logan arose from the swamps and beaches of Sarasota, Florida after a decade in the opera industry to write songs and make records in Nashville. The fourth generation in an old-world entertainment industry family including broadcasters, classical and jazz musicians, songwriters, musical theatre mavens, and television producers, Kim followed the genetic path and first pursued a degree in performance and songwriting at the Berklee College of Music. After two strange years in the icy twilight zones of the Boston and Brooklyn music scenes, Kim headed back south. Now completing her degree at Belmont University’s Curb College of Entertainment and Music Business, Kim flexes her artistic muscles in every medium of art imaginable. In addition to the release of her debut self-titled record, Kim has penned a guest editorial for Lockeland Springsteen, consulted on and served as muse for a collection by fashion designer Rachel Hesse, and collaborated with filmmaker Trillbee the Hooligan on her music video for “Black Magic Boy.” With education and passion spanning from Puccini to Hank Williams Sr. to Led Zeppelin, Kim’s music combines the theatrics of opera and vaudeville with the sex, drugs, and darkness of 20th century southern music.
