2015-Current ABOUT: Killing Voorhees is the hybrid bastard child of everything the artist is influenced by. Blending elements of Metal, Punk, Hardcore, Rock and more together. The bands music subjects range from the serious to the campy. The bands name is a homage to the 'Friday the 13th' film franchise. INFLUENCES: The band has a wide variety of influences in many different genres. Some of the major ones include: Pantera, Dir en grey, Marilyn Manson, Slipknot, MSI, Cradle of Filth, Hatebreed, Tool, August Burns Red, The Misfits, Biohazard, Metallica, Queen, Iron Maiden, Korn, Strength Approach, Hoods, Madball, Hank Williams Sr., and Hank Williams III HISTORY: Killing Voorhees(Originally called Killing Vorhees) was originally intended as a solo project for former (Tomorrow's Tragedy, In The Kingdom of Nightmares, Salvo) Vocalist Tj Washburn. A handful of demo songs were recorded, but the project never moved beyond that point. In 2013 the project was resurrected after Washburn stepped down as vocalist of Maine Metal band Salvo. This time as a live project. Harboring a more Rockabilly/Horror-Punk vibe The band began working on writing an album and recorded several demo songs. This version of the project saw Washburn on Guitar & Backing vocals. With Adrian Kobylarz(Vocals), Paul Beaulieu(Bass) Sarah Nickerson(Keys/Backing Vocals) & Jeff Baker(Drums).
