In the Beginning.. In 2001 vocalist Shawn Tyson, a.k.a., Cain, answered an ad for a position with the band Cell Therapy...meeting bassist Johnny Vadala for the first time. The duo began a journey that would be the birth of a mission that neither could have expected. In 2002 vocalist Cain was unexpectedly driven to relocate to Michigan due to health issues in his family. The separation only lasted a few months, when Vadala contacted him with an offer he couldn't refuse... Birth of Killing Cain.. Vadala, a.k.a. Johnny V, had the idea for a unique approach for a writing project that would allow the duo to create music through the world wide web, marketing soleley through the Internet and other technology-based mediums. The concept seemed like a challenge, but within days the process had begun. The two began to write, recording through various PC software, and sending each other the music through email and a vast amount of communication. Thus began the start of a whole new entity - Killing Cain. Over the next few years, Cain and Johnny V interviewed musician after musician in an effort to find the right matches for the project. After several drummers and countless guitarists, they finally brought on board melodic guitar-god Chris Gaumond and metal-genius Stephen Haendiges, both with the guitar skills and spiritual beliefs needed for the project.
