Killa Kaunn (Born Mio Thomas) wad raised in Detroit Mi on the westside of the city !. Kaunn has been involved with ent since his early years as a student at Cass Technical High School with his group Minor Prophitz. In the late 90's Kaunn traveled the world with A Tribe Called Quest on the underdawgs of Hiphop tour with over 40 dates. Upon return from tour Kaunn competed in 100's of rap battle competitions winning the coveted Spitfest Championship in 01, 02, and 03 while making his mark on several dvd's as well as appearing on BET's 106 & Park's free style Fridays. In 2004 Kaunn joined the Super Group Purple Gang which was assembled by Detroit HipHop Legend Big Proof of D12. While a member of Purple Gang Kaunn toured the U.S. twice once on the D12 World tour and the last nationwide tour was the Anger Management tour with Eminem, 50 Cent, G unit, and M.O.P. In 2006 Big Proof was tragically taken away from the city as well as from his label Iron Fist records to which Purple Gang was signed to. While most of the pieces that were put together by Proof fell apart when he passed, Kaunn Picked up his head and continued to strive for the top for his family as well as the benefit of Detroit city , something that Proof always made sure he did ! In 2007 alogn with 1st Born Kaunn managed alvins nite club and this is where the fire for promotion was lit .
