Kian Pourtorab is an Iranian singer, songwriter, composer, multi-instrumentalist and producer, who entered the world of music by playing guitar at the age of 16. He is also the founder, lead vocalist, composer and songwriter of Comment Band, a well-known rock band from 2007 to 2016. After his success with Comment Band, Kian Pourtorab made an official debut as a solo artist and released three albums including “This Side” (2018), “Q” (2021) and “Shabgard” (2022). From Rock and Alternative Rock to Electronic, Electropop and Ambient, this artist has explored various genres of music and created many unforgettable hits such as “C”, “Bargard” and “Mano Bebar” which have been praised by critics and fans. Kian Pourtorab’s works are characterized by his creative style, hypnotic vibes, and level of emotions that he blends in the music. His lyrics are moving and relatable and are all written by himself. He has an immersive and haunting voice quality that pulls you deep into his music. He has never considered singing a separate act from composing, and always integrates his vocals into the musical structures as a part of the tune. His timeless and innovative works have influenced Iranian music and exposed the audience to a new music they have never experienced before.
